Caladium - Freida Hemple
The Caladium Freida Hemple, 'Caladium x hortulanum', are grown for their long-lasting, colorful foliage, and they are used in borders and beds. This narrow leafed variety has dark green edges with dark red centers. It is ideal for pots and hanging baskets on the porch or patio. Caladiums also bloom, but the flowers are insignificant and they drain energy from the plant. They should be pinched off as soon as possible. Caladiums need protection from full sun for the best growth and color. All parts of this tropical plant are poisonous, so caution is advised around children. ... additional information
