Coreopsis - Pink

The Coreopsis 'Pink', Coreopsis rosea, is the first pink, with a yellow center, flowering variety of the Coreopsis family. In the Tickseed family, the daisy like blooms flower from June through October with a plant height of 10-12” and a spread of 14-18”. The dark green fernlike foliage makes a great contrast with the flower color. ‘Pink’ Coreopsis should be planted in full sun. Pink Coreopsis is drought-tolerant and tough but does need well-drained soil. It should be cut backing early and late summer to extend the bloom period. ‘Pink’ Coreopsis looks great with any type of grass, in borders or mass plantings in sunny gardens. ... more information

 

Lily - Cancun (Asiatic Lily) The Asiatic Lily Cancun, 'Lilum ‘Cancun’, has wonderful tropical flowers that range from magenta red to pink with bright yellow centers that produces 4-5 flowers per stem. The dark green foliage makes a great contrast with its flower color. ‘Cancun’ has a plant height of 38” and is one of the newest Lily’s on the market today. Cutting the pollen off the middle of the flower, not letting it touch the flower, will increase the bloom time on Lily’s. Blooming in mid to late June, ‘Cancun’ should be planted in full sun and in a well drained soil. Proven to be resistant to rots and virus, it should not be left out of the perennial garden.
