Coreopsis - Tequilla Sunrise

The Coreopsis ‘Tequilla Sunrise’ is a very exciting new variety. In the Tickseed family, the gorgeous variegated olive-green foliage, turning to mahogany in the fall, and cream to yellow flowers with a red eye, is a great addition to any garden. Blooming from June to October, it has a plant height of 12” and a spread of 10-12”. ‘Tequilla Sunrise’ should be planted in full sun. It is drought-tolerant and tough but does need well-drained soil. It should be cut backing early and late summer to extend the bloom period. Coreopsis ‘Tequilla Sunrise’ looks great with any type of grass, in borders or mass plantings in sunny gardens. Mullein - Bananna Custard The Verbascum Banana Custard, 'Verbascum hybridum', also known as Mullein, has huge, two-toned flowers that are useful in any perennial garden. The foliage is light green, which adds contrast to the flower color. ‘Banana Custard’ has a plant height of 2-4’ and a plant spread of 1-2’ and blooms from late spring into summer. Removing spent flowers to encourage additional bloom time. ‘Banana Custard’ can be planted in rocky slopes to add color, as a border plant or in cottage gardens.
