Daisy - Toucan Tango

The Daisy Toucan Tango, 'Brachyscome hybrid', is a low growing daisy with fine foliage. These Proven Selections Aussie beauties are covered with daisy-like flowers even in the hottest summers. Toucan Tango are often used as ground covers, in beds or in bold color containers. The beautiful lavender flowers have a chartreuse eye. Daisy's require a sunny spot with fertile, well-drained soil and should be kept well watered in the summer. Daisy's may be used as a cut flower and they are excellent in window boxes, pots, and rock gardens. The daisy is attractive to bees, butterflies and/or birds, plus they are resistant to deer. These daisys are winter hardy to USDA Zones 10-11 and they are grown as an annual in other cooler climatic zones. Deadhead spent flowers to encourage additional bloom. The deeply cut, dark green leaves are aromatic when bruised. For zones 9-11, this plant can also be a perennial. ... more info

Petunia - Tidal Wave Purple The Tidal Wave Purple Petunia, 'Petunia x hybrida hedgiflora', has a growth habit based on how closely the plants are spaced in the garden. Place the plants close together and they will get taller. When spaced a minimum of 12 inches apart, it forms a dense, mounded hedge from 16 to 22 inches tall. Grown in restricted space with support, it will grow an extra 2 to 3 feet upward, like a vine. When given plenty of space, this petunia makes a floriferous groundcover spreading 2. 5 to 3 feet. The Tidal Wave petunia was a University of Georgia 1999 Gold Medal Winner. Tidal Wave petunias require no pinching or pruning. The low maintenance qualities and excellent weather tolerance make them well-suited for landscapes and large containers.
