Geranium - Appleblossom
The Geranium Appleblossom, 'Pelargonium x hortorum', is a unique variety that offers beautiful soft pink double flowers, complemented by distinct leaf zoning and an upright growth habit. The Appleblossom has excellent vigor and great landscape performance. They make large, full-sized plants and are very showy in ground beds and containers with their large, colorful pink blooms. Geraniums are a favorite bedding and container plant and are grown in almost every region of the country. These plants have succulent leaves and stems and they are commonly called garden geraniums or zonal geraniums. They are excellent in containers of all types from small pots to large tubs to window boxes and combine well with other plants such as petunias and ivies. Geraniums are one of your best choices for use in hanging baskets. Plant in ordinary well-drained soil. Over fertilization results in excessive foliage and few flowers. Hot Peppers - Caribbean Red Hot The Hot Pepper Caribbean Red Hot, 'Capsicum annuum' , is even hotter than Habanero! The extremely hot, wrinkled fruit tapers to a blunt point. The Caribbean Red Hot ripens to a beautiful deep red and has the same distinctive taste of the Habanero. The plants grow up to 30 inches tall and the fruit packs mega heat. Plants and fruits are identical to orange habanero only fruits ripen from celery to ruby red. Transplant outside in the spring 3 to 4 weeks after last frost date. Note: To get a jump on the season transplant outside, use a walls-of-water or some black plastic to maintain and increase temperatures. Plant in average garden soil with sufficient organic matter.
