The Hosta ‘Albomarginata’, Hosta undulata, has soft green leaves with white bands, making it very striking. The Hosta flowers bloom from July to August, however, Hosta’s are not known only for their flowers. With a plant height of 18” and a spread of 32-36”, Hosta’s provide bright color in shade with wonderful foliage. Hosta A’lbomarginata’ needs to be planted in a full shade area in any moist, well-drained area. Hosta Albomarginata is perhaps the best of the Undulata family. Evening Primrose- Missouri Primrose The Evening Primrose 'Missouri Primrose', 'Oenothera 'Missouri Evening Primrose', is a Missouri native plant found on limestone glades and rocky prairies in the Ozark region. The beautiful canary yellow flowers add great color in any perennial garden and will bloom from May to August. This easily grown Oenothera should be planted in full sun and a well-drained area. With a plant height of 9-12" and a spread of 12-18", the mildly fragrant flowers open for only one day, usually late afternoon but will last until the following morning. Best used in front of borders or rock gardens, it will add color in wild gardens, meadows, cottage gardens or in native plant gardens. Do not over water.
