Hosta - Great Expectations
The Hosta Great Expectations, 'Hosta sieboldiana', has puckered heart shaped leaves with creamy yellow centers and irregular blue-green edges. The white flowers bloom from July to August, however, Hosta’s are not known for their flowers. With a plant height of 24” and a spread of 36”, Hosta’s provide bright color in shade with wonderful foliage. Hosta ‘Great Expectations’ needs to be planted in a full shade area in any moist, well-drained location. Daylily - Frances Joiner The Daylily Frances Joiner, Hemerocallis 'Frances Joiner' (Joiner, '88), has large 5 1/2 inch double peony type blooms that are beige color and fade to rose on towards the edges on green foliage. Frances Joiner is a mid-season rebloomer. It can survive harsh conditions that many other plants can not and prefers full sun for the best performance.
