Double Flowering Japanese Kerria, Kerria japonica 'Pleniflora', has showy, double, golden yellow flowers that bloom in early spring among bright green foliage. This open, fast growing shrub has yellow-green stems that add color to the winter landscape. It prefers a loamy, well-drained soil. Can be grown in sun or part shade, but does best in full sun. A good plant that has been used since pre-civil war times. Branches zig-zag at internodes and blooms for up to 2 months. ... additional info
