Lantana - Patriot Sunbeam
The Lantana Patriot Sunbeam, 'Lantana "Patriot" Sunbeam, is an annual shrub like plant that will produce beautiful bright yellow flowers. Lantana is an excellent choice for beds or containers. The Sunbeam Lantana has attractive foliage and the foliage is topped with vividly colored flowers. The brightly colored flowers of Lantana are excellent for attracting hummingbirds and butterflies. Plant Lantanas in full sun and well drained soil in either beds or containers. Lantana prefers moist soil, but is drought tolerant. Pinch off spent flowers to promote new flower growth. All Lantana's contain a toxin that if ingested may cause stomach discomfort. Some contact with foliage may irritate sensitive skin. The Lantana is also commonly called a Shrub Verbena. Coleus - Life Lime The Coleus Life Lime, 'Coleus hybrid', has chartreuse-colored foliage. These new, bigger, sun loving varieties have revolutionized contanier gardening. Coleus plants are durable and easy to grow. Frost will cause them to die immediately. If a coleus plant is allowed to seed, it has completed its life cycle and will die. Poorly drained soils and excessive watering will damage coleus. Plants suffering from "wet feet" will be stunted, leaves will turn a muddy brown, and leaf margins will be scorched.
