Obedient Plant - Vivid
The Obedient Plant Physostegia ‘Vivid’, 'Physostegia virginiana', has deep pink cup shaped flowers that are 24” tall and a plant spread of 18-24”. ‘Vivid’ blooms from June to September and the waxy, green leaves make this plant a little different from other white blooming perennials. ‘Vivid’ needs a full sun area but will tolerate some afternoon shade, in well-drained soil. Use ‘Vivid’ in borders, mixed plantings, massed plantings (especially to separate other colors), in large containers or as cut flowers. Evening Primrose- Missouri Primrose The Evening Primrose 'Missouri Primrose', 'Oenothera 'Missouri Evening Primrose', is a Missouri native plant found on limestone glades and rocky prairies in the Ozark region. The beautiful canary yellow flowers add great color in any perennial garden and will bloom from May to August. With a plant height of 9-12" and a spread of 12-18", the mildly fragrant flowers open for only one day, usually late afternoon but will last until the following morning. Best used in front of borders or rock gardens, it will add color in wild gardens, meadows, cottage gardens or in native plant gardens. Do not over water. |
